Looks great!

Is that a MIA fuselage? If so, how did you darken the canopy plastic like that?

Thanks! Yes it is a MIA kit, upon ordering Mario asked if I wanted black or clear windshield, being indecisive I went with both and preferred the black after assembly. I've heard many poor reviews on his products being cheap quality but decided to try it out for myself. I'm actually very impressed with everything (or at least since I haven't crashed yet!).

I had to do some alterations to trim a little weight so I started with the skids and got them good but still had an issue with the fuse... I ended up "removing" the doors which did the trick. I must say this thing looks pretty damn cool zipping around!

I've got one of his canopies on an MCX2 and really like the way it looks. The plastic of the fuselage isn't going to be very forgiving to too many crashes as it is fairly thin but I haven't had many problems with it thus far. The one problem that I have had is that the tail "stabilizer" has ripped off a few times. Fortunately it glues back on with some CA and still looks good.

Nice to hear that he's offering dark canopy "glass" as an option. I think i would have preferred that one mine.

Glad to hear a good review on his products! Yeah the clear canopy glass was kind of hard to see, it might would have looked better on a black fuse but since my other heli is "murdered out" I decided to switch it up on this application!

LOL. Yeah, as long as you take care of it, it should be good to go. Here's my build log of my mCX2 MD530 with the MIA canopy:

Thanks!

I've emailed MIA to see if I can get a dark windshield. I'd like to see what mine looks like with it.

Everytime my two year old nephew comes over to visit, he makes me drag this out and fly it around the house. I often wonder if he's part of the reason that I'm so addicted to these things lately!

It has MCPX landing gear + adapter so that I can use the same batteries for both the MSRX & MCPX; the msrx gets like double the flight time with the bigger battery.

You'll cook those motors though. Might want to stock up if you are running MCPX batteries. Not saying it isn't worth it....

I'm not super worried about it as they're not super expensive and are fairly easy to replace; the pros outweigh the cons, methinks.

I'm using those batteries on my brushless but only getting regular flight times. You might be onto something!
