You never have to worry about a company discontinuing a quad as long as it's not a pre-built one. Frames are a dime a dozen and they are stupid simple to build. Can't find a carbon fiber part? People are out there who will cut them for you. Or, you move everything to a new frame, which is cheap and very easy. Even the tuning options are extensive and pretty easy to use, especially if you have heli FBL tuning experience.
I build and fly quads too. Fpv and pov. Quads just don't do it for me though.

They take crashes well though.

Yeah, they don't do it for me, either. I can see why all the interest, though, if you have the right area to fly it can be a kick to fly through and around stuff like Superman. For me, though, there's nothing like trying to master the skill of making a heli dance. For now I'll just stick with the helis when the weather cooperates and fly my tiny whoop in the house during the long winters. Seems to satisfy the urge to RC and gets me away from the sim for a while. I guess I get bored easily. lol

I've decided to get a Gaui X3 as my micro!

I'll still keep my 180 but it won't get flown as much. I just retired my original 6 packs and only bought 3 replacements.

A 180 with SAFE wouldn't hurt my feelings. After all I have rescue on my Goblin 570's MSH Brain.
