Didn't see anything all day. Nothingin the tent, and nothing in the air. Maybe someone else had better luck?

On the Vstabi forum beginning 2015 is mentioned as earliest... many things to do before it is "right" they say :-). Gives us "again" more time to select components and gather funds ...

Looks like they are going to be at least a year late!
Definitely quiet on the Mikado front. |

I hope I can use my Pyro 800-48L. If they change to 6mm motor shafts then I will have to sell it and buy a new motor. Already missed out on Black Friday sales and GBP/EUR will probably be weaker next year.

No idea what this means. What will the status be in Spring of 2016? Still looking forward to a release date at that time? Can't say I am excited about other 700's currently. The Protos is built well, but at the expense of weight, and regardless of blade selection, flight time.
Does Mikado expect to continue with the 690SX, or is the strategy to drop it once the new 700 is out?

I doubt they will drop the 690SX. It seems to be selling very well over here and not many people have anything bad to say about it. Not everyone has ambitions of becoming a 3D world champion. A reliable but cost effective heli is good enough for quite a lot of people.

I also like another 700 in my fleet currently have a Chronos but would like a beefy heli which could run 716 blades and is a couple of grams lighter than my current 700. Also tail belt would be nice.
It's unfortunate that we haven't really seen anything yet. The only thing we know is. It uses current stuff of the 700xx It has a plastic frame It's head is designed less bulky It's about 400 grams lighter than current 700xx |

I think it will be interesting to see price point. MSH set the bar very low with the Max V2. Wonder if they went back to the drawing board to get the price point competitive? A $1200 USD kit won't sell in my opinion. It needs to be affordable compared to other kits to sell enough copies to recoup cost of the molds for that frame. Otherwise, what would be the point of eliminating carbon frames. Clearly they are now as cost effective as plastic used to be with efficiency of modern CNC. Not sure this is ideal application of plastic for modern power systems.
I look forward to this as well, but will be put off of its close to $1000 for an airframe. They now must recover "years" of development cost.
