TT39, OS37. OS32

I just wanted to hear what you think of the three of them; TT39 Pro, OS 32 and OS37.

I have fallen out with my 39 and even though it is new(ish) and a new Raptor 30v2 I feel I have to junk it and go OS. I love the OS and have had a good few 32's in Shuttles, Raptor V1. To me they are reliable which is what I really need. Not fantastic performers (I don't do 3D) just reliable. But when the 37 came out I always wanted one, lusted after one.

Sooooooooo, I am about to bin my TT39 but can not afford much. An OS32 is about £30 used and an OS37 is about £90. £30 is affordable. Here's where I get miffed......new the 37 is about 20% more to buy than the 32 but used it is three times the price.

What should I do please? I think the 32 will be fine for my sort of flying.

the OS32 is easily the most reliable and the easyest to tune out of the 3 motors

get the 32, it's rock solid and preforms great for foreward flight. if you need POWER, get the 37. BUT, if your just into forward flight and easy manuvers, just get the 32.. Nitro will last forever.
however if you need a lil power and want minimum fuel consumption, find a tt 36.
I've no problems with the 32, tt36 or the 37.I don't have a tt 39 but have heard nuttin' but bad from that subject.

That's interesting thanks. I asked the question because I have a TT39 which it has been a pain in the backside - ruining what is a nice Raptor 30V2 - and I was wanting to see if others felt that way. I don't do 3D - can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I love the 32 and I'm sure that the 37 is a great engine but honestly for the money I think that I would go to a 50 before spending money on the 37.
OS 50 Hypers are going cheap now because of the 55.

Good point - 50 size is nice.

Just like most activities there is always some upgrade or something else needed.

I bought the Rappy for some cheap, keep me flying in the corner, easy to maintain entertainment. I have had 90s and 60s and have settled on the 30 as being just right for my limited skills cos they crash don't they. They do with me at the sticks.

I have splashed out on a little used 32 now.

The 32 is a great little mill! I installed a lighter pipe on mine and it really helped it perform better. It can swing a set of 550 wide cords now if the weather isn't too hot.

I'll use the 39s exhaust (muffler)..........might as well salvage something.

I have a TT 39 sitting in a box that I picked up somewhere and I keep thinking that if I can find a decent carb for it I just might make it into a good engine.
I wonder if it would work with the carb off of an old OS 50? I have one of those that has maybe two hours on it total and have been keeping it as a spare block for my 50 Hyper.

OS50's are easy to tune and as reliable as time, the extra bits to do the conversion ain't all that badly priced either!

It is due to arrive in the next day or so and it'll be fitted straight away and let you know..

I've had a few before and to me they seem indestructible compared to other cheaper makes.

There is something about the sound of an OS 32 idling that you can't beat.

I had one on an old shuttle that was old and used when I bought the heli - so old in fact that it had a mechanical gyro - and that flew relentlessly while I did my best to wreck it in crashes as I was learning to fly.
