No, Achim, I am quite sure I did.
Right com-port, right BL Heli file, ...

Connecting Robbe-Box to computer, opening BL Heli, connecting Robbe box to ESC, connecting ESC to battery, trying to connect to BL Heli:
"Check ESC connection, power, signal" (this error message).
Disconnecting ESC from Robbe box, connecting battery to ESC, connecting (powered) ESC to Robbe box: everything is fine.

Checked this procedure several times.

What did I do wrong?

OK, this is how I have it wired. I've tried changing red and white and this does not work either

My ESC works fine, and I can follow the TX programming for BLHeli V8. So I don't think I have broken anything.

My ESC is an Oversky (origin) 10A V3.

What order to I need to connect the Arduino board, the ESC and power to the ESC?

Please look at Your wiring and my picture: it is very different!

The log shows: Connection to Interface is ok, but not connection to BESC.

I have fixed my wiring now. I realise it was wrong. It is now like your picture.

If I can't connect to the BESC what might be the problem? Do you know which way wrong the connector should go on this ESC?

Yes I power up the hell, with the radio on, so it's ready to fly. Then the USB interface, then connect the interface to the hell

The connection seems to be the way it should as shown here:
http://www.overskyrc.com/index.php?m...roducts_id=328

But re-check the connections at the Arduino and please post a new picture. I cannot see what You did...

Seems to be OK, I have no further Idea for now...

EDIT: May be, You recheck all the connections to the ESC. Check all with a Multimeter, if they make really contact.

Stupid me - now I know.... sure somewhere in the manuals or here in the thread, but me and manuals...

Mmmhh, Walter, I cannot confirm this!?
I get a connection to the box with plugged in the BESC and without powering up the BESC...
Of course, I get no connection to the BESC itself...

Yes, of course, but when powering the BESC afterwards and disconnecting, reconnecting, I still had those "no connection to ESC, check data and power connections".
But when powering the BESC before connecting to Robbe Box, everything was fine.

Do You mean: "but when powering the BESC afterwards, Reading and disconnecting, reconnecting"?
That would make sense...

You should click "Restart" or "Disconnect" before You remove the plug from the BESC.

I will do a more comfortable reconnection in the next update.

Donno what the reason was, but I had quite a lot of troubles with the tiny ESCs.
Especially in Supermicro 3.5 A the soldering pads for the signal wires are extremely weak and break out of the ESC easily (you can this do very easy when pulling or whatever a little bit on wire/plug).
Destroyed some of those tiny ESCs

Anyway, everything is ok now, flew right now my first 5 batteries with my double brushless Nano CPX and am quite happy.
But it was a hard way - for me especially the micro ESCs, those stupid soldering pads...
Now I am using epoxy on the soldering joints to secure the pads, seems to work.

Thanks, anyway, unbelievably cool stuff

Walter
Thanks Walter, I will answer here, because I guess Your last post should have gone here.
There is nothing to apologize, I'm happy for every hint, feature request and even more any bug message. It helps me a lot to find any issues in the application and to make improvements.
I've done already a fix up for the check of BESC connection - for next revision.

This was my problem. I had a short in my JST-SH connector.
Everything works fine now, Flashed to 9.2

Many thanks
