Default Helis in Phoenix feel unresponsive in my opinion

I dont know what it is, Im using my dx7. All of the helis in phoenix feel pretty unresponsive. it takes too long for my stick movement to actually start making the heli move. i can even see on the controller up on the screen that it isnt quite able to catch up with how fast i move the sticks. Im no expert pilot, so apparently this is a pretty big issue. Is this just a phoenix thing? I cant remember Realflight Sim doing this...

no that is not normal at all.
how fast is your PC number 1..
Are your video drivers 100% up to date?
any other things like what OS are you on what CPU are you using? lots of stuff.

these sims are fairly demanding on a system Phoenix is usually less so than RF but system health is still crucial.
Most people report the exact opposite that Phoenix is lightning fast and almost too responsive till models are toned down with user tuning.

If you say you are getting delays even on the ON screen controller to match your actually stick position it sounds like a PC issue rather than a software issue.
but still could be a config issue.

I dont really see how my PC could be the issue here! I'll post my specs and try not to brag

OS: Windows 7 64-bit
CPU: AMD Phenom II quadcore @3.7Ghz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 OCZ Golden Edition
GPU: Nvidia 9600gt overclocked and newest drivers
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint 1TB
PSU: Ultra LSX-650 650watt power supply

I really dont see how it could be the issue. any ideas on config?

The controller picture in Phoenix allways looks like it lags. But, have you turned the heli's physics up to 100% and make sure the expo is of. These adjustments are in Phoenix, under each heli, have to edit them. Almost all heli's default to 50% physics and 30% expo. If you have any expo allready in controller, this will make it real sluggish

Also you can speed up flip, roll, yaw rates in edit model/detailed .... although I find I need to slow the stocks ones down!

See my previous topic on lag.

The on-screen controller and on-screen input bars lag significantly the actual movements, and they are also averaged removing all sudden movements. (only the last part is admitted by phoenix support)

The on-screen depiction of the flaps (for an aircraft) or pitch (for a heli) do not appear to lag.

However, the on-screen movements (physics) for the models do lag slightly.

This lag is nothing to do with the monitor, graphics card, FPS, or anything.

You can get used to it, but it is not the connected feeling you get in real life. It is most obvious when going straight from flying the real thing for a number of flights back to the screen. Feels like a long distance phone call IMHO.

Thats exactly what im talking about! tweaking the settings seems to help, but it isn't quite how the real model feels.

I don't think any sim will feel exactly like the real thing.
