Not even close to the level of flying of most of the helifreaks but I like to have a bit of fun after orientation training in the sim.

Smaller vid is just an auto and in the second larger vid I take my own simulated head off at the end trying to land nicely nose in.

Eek.

Mind you, getting somewhere slowly!

Default Phoenix super-sound

Just for the fun-of-it, modified the sound of my Phoenix simulator. Here is a short test flight of the TRex-450 at the lakeside :glasses2:

Hey there,

would it be possible to post all the links in the first post (like Bobs videos) maybe so you don't need to scroll through the whole thread ? Excellent thread though by the way !

Default TAIL SLIDE?

Is this a tail slide and is the 401/9257 on a 500ESP going to hold?

A tail slide is more or less a stall turn without the pirouette at the top (i.e. you come back tail first). You just let you heli fall as fast as possible tail down - that's all.

What do you do at the end? Follow your flight patch you went up with?

Would a 401/9257 hold? I want to try this on the 500... it sure holds well in Phoenix!

Not just watching it hitting the ground Yes, usually you exit this maneuver on the same path you entered it. However I'm not sure if you have to do so that it's called tail slide.

This combination is quite good although I already heard that the 401 may get into problems with fast backwards flight. I guess you just need to test it... Don't go full speed and don't stop it too close to the ground and you can test it yourself. Nobody can tell if your heli with your setup and your flying-style will hold in a specific situation. But maybe you could ask this question in the 500 forum... (as we are getting quite off-topic now)

Default What I can do.

I do this periodically so I can see my progress.

Here's my latest "What I can do today" meaning that I keep the recording real.. things I 'could' do outside and most I have.. but certainly in the next month or two.

Very nice! Even though it's a "I don't fly like this in real life" it shows real skills.. good orientation foundation etc.. much better than I can do "on the sim!"

Just got Phoenix a couple weeks ago. This is just a demo of some of the things I can do in the sim. I haven't done all this stuff in real life. I have a Trex 450 in real life. I have done piro flips in real life though but I am pretty cautious in real. It is harder to do hurricanes in real life too because my 401 likes to give me tail blow outs once in a while if it's pushed too hard. IDK if all gyros do this but I heard spartin gyros don't. Phoenix is by far the best sim I have used so far. It runs sooo smoothly and nice. Can't wait until v2.5 comes out

This is my first attempt at posting a recording, now I'm nowhere near some of ya'lls levels. I've only got 7 packs flown IRL. about 40 hrs on FSONE but only 3 on phoenix. Spend too much time at work. Let me know what Ya'll think.:o

I don't really have any skills. I have hovered my Belt CP for a few batteries and probably got 15 batteries of hovering in my CopterTrex 450 se v2. This is me messin round on a Trex 600n, before I decapitated myself HA. Enjoy and comment if you like.
