Hey,

Personally I am having great performance out of the stock Align GP750 gyro, on my Trex250 I have teamed it up with a JR DS380G (UK equivelant of DS290G) and it works very well and holds solid as well.

On here there does seem to be a real liking of the Spartans and with myself flying them on a 600NSP & 500CF I have to agree they are one of the best gyro's on the market at present.
On my 700N I have the Align GP700 with an Align DS620 tail servo and surprisingly that holds great to, despite some comments on here saying it's not a good combination.

A lot of the decision will come down to money at the end of the day, but I wouldn't disregard the Align GP750 if your looking at a Super Combo deal. Then with the money saved over buying another gyro put it towards a better tail servo if you feel you'll benefit from one.

Personally though the gyro's mentioned above I'd list as below on performance overall :

1. Spartan (wins as it suits more of a variety of servo's it seems to give optimum performance)
2. Align
3. GY401 (easier to setup than the next gyro in the list)
4. JR 770T
.

I'm running the logictech 2100t with 3100g matching tail servo on my trex 250 and my gaui 200 and both are rock solid, supplied gyro instructions are poor though but got some better ones off the net and once set up correctly is as good as the 401's I run in my bigger heli's.

Couldnt tell you the best, but the align gp 750 works great on the 250.The Spartan, mini G, or gp 750 are going to be the best choices. The 401,s good, but to large and heavy, compared to the others.

Same combo here, and same results, still get a bounce out of left piros, doesn't bother me though, its solid. and at 109, you cant beat it.

My gain is at 80 on the radio so about 60 true gain and confirmed with led's on the gyro. But im running the fatties cut to 32mm and two 2mm bearings on each side so theres no lateral slop. I've got it on the hole closest to the servo which is about 4.5mm.

Hey,

I think you'll get great performance out of that setup, the JR is slightly better than the Futaba 9257 on speed and is also a little lighter I think to so that will help on the 250.

for 105 bucks this combo is pretty good. i was also getting a bounce back with cut down blades. the new shorter Align blades really made a difference, no more bounce back. i have my gain about the same as yours, and the hold is damn good indoors, but in the chilly weather we had today it was waggin, and not holding the best with small wind gusts.

if i had the funds id go with the new Futaba GY520/JR3500, or Curtis's new gyro

I'm flying the GY240(from my decommissioned HBK2) and S3154 on the tail with about 30 gain. No complaints yet regarding the tail, seems solid in the testing phase, I've only flown normal mode but the set up seems to handle hard collective and stays put when I tell it where to go..

The only problem I have is with the canopy mounts. My initial curves were way off and I crashed her hard on the maiden. Both blade grips, flybar, tail rotors and landing gear were toast. Replaced those but one canopy mount has stripped threads. Not liking the plastic AR bracket Just ordered a "carbon fiber" AR bracked with a metal base, hopefully that will fix my only issue with the Trex mini.

I hope the upcoming Spartan Quark is the right gyro to use on the 250. At least it seems small enough and that's a very good start.

Let us just se what the price will be compared to the Futaba GY520.

Next heli on my purchase list: T-Rex 250SE and Spartan Quark gyro...
