Question SLX Adapter & Older Flashlink - Are they compatible?

Has anyone had any success getting their quark SLX adapter to work with the older flash links? I have the one that is all black with the blue servo connector.

The flash link works with my DS760 just fine (Windows 7, 64bit but also tried in 7, 32 bit with identical results)

When I install the Quark software itll bring up the console window that says "No flash links found". Also occurs if I try to run FLUpdate.exe.

When I run the Quark software, it will detect the correct COM port that the flash link is set to. If I click 'Connect' it will report that it couldn't.

I followed the picture diagram the software shows for how to plug everything in... I also tried NOT following the diagram.. results are the same.

So... do I need to buy the newer red flash link? Is that the only one that will work with the SLX for the Quark?

I can't answer your question, but I've experienced the exact same problem Wurger. I got frustrated and just did the stick programming method.
