![]() My older version comes in at 312g and the newer version is 309g. This was using the same Outrage 25C 860 mAh battery. I hesitate to post this values because since it was not on the most accurate scale (I used a post office letter scale), and this is converted number from oz to g. The 12 or so grams I am lighter than the others is roughly 0.4oz. You can take my numbers for what they are worth.
Both helis have plastic 205 blades and ds410 servos on the cyclic. The lighter heli uses the GP750 and JR290, with the weighted tail and metal control arm. The heavier one uses a gy401 and futaba 3154. Oddly the lighter one has the new thicker frame.

Battery straps are under the canopies. These are AUW RTF measurements. I believe accuracy is +-2 grams but not positive. |

![]() 288g all up
I'm using: hs-45hb servos, which weigh 7.25g w/ shortened wires and no arm (stock aligns weigh 12.75 on the same scale) Logitec 2100 combo, w/ shortened wires. Don't have the align gyro/servo to compare. I'm pretty sure its a bit heavier than what I have. Stock motor and ESC with shortened wires and no bullets between the motor and ESC Kong Power battery No bling ![]() |

![]() I'm guessing the major weight savings to be had are:
* stock plastic bearing blocks, battery tray bracket and tail block (anybody care to weigh them up and post results? I don't have any of the aluminum upgrades to compare) * shortened wires * lighter servos * CF blades Lighter batts will also help, but with a significant reduction in run times, so I won't count downgrading mAh. |

![]() Shortening wires only gets you a few grams, and most of that is the mile long wires they always put on gyros. It does make your heli much neater.
