Where in Canada?

You need to finish setting up your heli. Look at one of the setup videos on helifreak. You should be familiar with what blade pitch you have at different collective settings. It sounds like you don't.

If you don't have a pitch gauge, find/borrow/beg. It's an essential tool for setup before your first flight and after repairs from a crash.

In orangeville ontario Northern country where the air is fresh and needs some of that nitro fuel to bring out the best of the woods!

Thanks for the advise I know I am new to the hobby and have been doing alot and alot of reading and am anxious to fly. I have a sim and have mastered a few things, however the real thing is the real thing and there is no reset button. This is why I am being extra cautious!

I will follow through with the settings vids and see if I can manage the info piece by piece. I had the heli started up today and off the skids without too many issues (What a thrill just to that!) Now to ensure I have the settings all right I am going to dig in and take it all in. Also I have signed up with a local RC club and I am going to get some instructions and guidance on set up. Even when you watch the vids there are always questions and uncertianty.

I will post any issues further with my progreaa but thanks for the input it is well recieved, BTW I do have a pitch gauge and I bought the Heli used which was already set to fly so I am not going to fiddle with the mechanics too much I just want to ensure my Tx is setup properly

LOL. The dreaded 'missing reset button'.

You can probably jump straight to the videos for radio setup then.

Since you are just starting out, you will probably just use your normal pitch/throttle curve.

When I got my used rap30, I got a lot of info from http://www.raptortechnique.com/

I'm using a x9303 so I have 7 point throttle/pitch curves. They are setup as follows:

normal throt: 0-30-46-54-60-72-100
normal pitch: 47-inh-inh-68-73-83-100

stunt throt: 100-89-77-65-77-91-100
stunt pitch: 0-50-100

Good luck. So for now, you can focus on the radio setup videos. After your first crash (inevitable), you can focus on the heli setup videos.
