Can't wait to get all the bits together and give it a go!

You'll be very surprised at how well it works on a 600, @ least I won't be alone now

Would be cool to see set up pictures of the KDS system on your helicopters.

As soon as I get mine and get it on I will post pictures.

Found this link on a KDS install. http://slumberjerrc.blogspot.com/200...mentor-3d.html

It's my link..still cannot get the tail working right..talk to kepler and still doing some research on to get it right..elevator and aileron is working ok to counter abrupt changes..but tail hmm I cannot understand why it cannot work in HH mode even in helibal it's already HH mode. Kepler told me the gain is pretty low like 15%..need to try that setup..

If your asking where I run my Spartan760 right now it set @ 28% actual gain value on my Futaba 10CHP Tx, I guess would be some where around 63- 68% on a spectrum radio

Are you using the KDS bundle gyro or external gyro for the flymentor? Do I have to turn on both gyro setup in the radio and also in the helibal software?

what's your gain value for the radio and the software? Mine right now set on the radio 50% and helibal 50%..but kepler recomended like 28% only...

I'm am flying my Spartan760 thru my Futaba Tx, the KDS tail gyro software is active but with no servo connected to the control module it does nothing.

I can not say as to what gain value you'll require when using the KDS tail gyro

Hello Kepler!

If use Flymentor:
Operate at high altitude?
It works if you turn the machine upside down?

Best Regards!

Position mode works upto 3 meters. Balance mode works at what ever height you want to fly.

Yes the mentor works when inverted and will continue to stabilize once you are inverted. However you should be Balance mode if you are flying inverted.

Kepler,
Finally found what was throwing off the KDS, the velcro strap I have wrapped around the control module that holds the servo lines from flapping in the breeze was slowly up lifting the rear of the module and gyro, and loosen the strap. so I would retighten it and again it would slowly lift the unit even more.

kept wondering wht the heli would fly fine on one flight , then next flight it would start drifting backward more and more

my flymentor is working very nice..the gyro is now working..but the gain is way too low..is this normal..my gain is about 8%..if I set to 15% the tail wag abit during hard climb up..nice flymentor..better off with external gyro..

Kepler,

Works well in the following?
- If you lose the remote signal.
- If the signal is lost, then comes a gust of wind, which is face up on the back. In this case, to keep them? Able to reverse?

Best Regards,
Gábor
