Default On board video

I posted some video's on rcgroups of a spycam mounted on the mSR. I took the camera out of the case and glued it on the mSR. I tried to reduce weight by using the mSR's battery to power the camera but the camera hit low voltage cutoff and shut off after 5 seconds. It's a little heavy but works.

Well, what I have learned is to never tell someone that it can't be done. Congratulations, good sir.

I still have try gyro adhesive tape to dampen the vibrations. Put the tail motor gain back to stock. And work on smooth flying.

I got the camera for $16 on ebay. Memory card NOT included. It records uncompressed AVI format on a micro SD card (also called Trans flash or TF-card). I have a 2GB and it records about 15 minutes. The camera can support up to 16GB so 2hrs max. Resolution is 720x480, 30 frames/second.

I had the mSR hovering for 4 minutes with the camera. At that point the battery got weak and it hardly hovered. But it did NOT hit low voltage cutoff! I fly it about 3 minutes per battery.

So just to confirm, you ended up using the camera's built in battery?

And is that a 120mah or 150mah battery the MSR is flying with?

Heh. I love the last line of the operating instructions (from ebay ad):

"When machine works abnormal for illegal operation or other unknown reasons, it needs to be reset."

Yes, I am using ther cameras built in battery. I am using the stock E-Flight 120mAh batteries to power the mSR. You charge the cameras battery by plugging it into the computer's USB port with the included cable.
