Default Align T-Rex 500 Stop Motion Build Video - AWESOME!!

Hey all,

Im new to helifreak, i usually stick to the UK forums, but thought you guys might like this. During my annual service of the T-Rex 500, i thought id make a little video!

Yes, i do have a lot of time on my hands, stuck at a research lab in Italy for 6 months, in the middle of nowhere Its not all bad though anyway the "blurb"!

"Stop motion animation of the construction of an Align T-Rex 500 RC helicopter. Over 2,500 photos were taken during the build of this remote controlled helicopter, and the resulting animation was rendered in Adobe After Effects CS5"

Enjoy

Very cool! Nice job!!!

I tried doing a stop motion video with my Airwolf once and it was such a pain. Way too many photos and mine still didn't look half as good.

Unfortunately most comments from people were not impressed with the GI Joes... apparantly couldn't appreciate the humor

That was awesome!!

It must have taken a lot of planning to lay out all the parts like that...

I loved the vid so much when you posted it in the UK forum, that I stuck it in the 500 forum here at the Freak.... hope you don't mind?

Yeah me to, during the rebuild i treated myself to a load of new parts. They are the Quick UK ones, i was a little hesitent at first, as to wether they would fit or not. But they are almost the same length as the standard long 500 ball links. The size for the ball is exact. They require a few extra turns, as they are longer than the standard ones, but apart from that they are very nice!

Haha, yes! Actually, joking aside, the main reason i have set up my website, is because i love the building just as much as the flying, eventually im hoping to run a build service for people. Its from the years playing with lego and meccano as a kid i think

Loved when the motor "jumped" right up into the frame.

I still get to play with Lego's. I have a 6yr old son that loves them. It doesn't hurt that I am very mechanically inclined as well.

I am impressed, a little scared, but impressed for sure! It looked to me as if this may not have been your first go at stop motion?
