Zippy/Flightmaxx/Turnigy no contest. Best value by FAR! 5 for the price of 1 "premium" battery. (Unless you are a sponsored pilot of course and you don't' have to pay for lipos...)

Zippy/Rhino have been good to me. If Zippy did not exist I would be buying Hyperion.

I didn't vote cause I'm not sure I have a fav.

I do like the price of the HC packs (Turnigy, Flightmax & Zippy), but the way my last couple packs arrived just thrown in a box makes me think they don't want or need my business. Their life expectancy almost makes it a wash on the price, anyways. Every one of their packs shows degradation of performance and puffiness within 50 cycles.

I've had good luck with Thunder Power. Got over 250 cycles out of the ones for my 450.

I've had great luck with 3S Kong's. Well over 200 flights on 3S packs for my 450 & 250. Their 6S packs I will never buy again. Very sharp performace roll off. One flight they're good, next they're salt water bath material. All (4) packs for my 500 died similarly.

Hyperions may be to be the way to go. The jury's still out because I'm not up to their claimed 400 cycles. The cycles I have put on (3) CX 2500 6S's for my 500 have been awesome. About 50 cycles and they're like day 1 (performance and firmness).

The ones I will definitely never buy again are Flightpower, Outrage or Performance Plus RC.

These are really relabeled loong max but I really like Value Hobby. They are higher priced than from Hobby City but If you need one or two they ship cheap. If you need more it is cheaper to go with Turnigy or Rhino. I bought a used 500 with flight power batteries and it flew good but when I put my new Turnigy on the headspeed was scary fast in comparison. They may not last as long I dont know but they are awesome when new.

It's a shame OP didn't just put Zippy/Flightmaxx/Turnigy all as the same answer. They are all about equal and all hobby city brands.

I still fly my 1300 & 2200 Longmax Lipos that I bought from Hobby City in mid '07
I think I got my moneys worth

In fact I have Longmax,Zippy and Turnigy brand packs in my flightbox and not a single pack has stopped performing. The one pack that puffed early on due to me leaving a voltage monitor plugged in,is powering a starter now.

So adding up Turnigy/zippy as one they are WAY ahead of the others 17 votes currently.. nearest competitor (Hyperion) has 5 votes. Interesting.

Pretty obvious what the brand names need to do to sell more batteries.

Hyperion for me, and i have 7 Zippy's! The Hyperion runs circles around ALL my Zippy's without question. The Hyperion has 80 cycles, feels like day one, still never comes down even warm, and seems to never lose voltage. At twice the price of Zippy's, if they last even twice as long, they are a bargain. My .02 only though.

Turnigy all the way! Great price and good power! Can't beat the price for them, just wish the other companies at there would follow suit. The only thing that would make Turnigy better is if they had a place in the U.S that carried them.

I voted TP, cause that's the best of the brands that I've tried. I know several Hyperion users who are very impressed w/ them as well, so I plan on giving them a try sometime in the future.
