I have this one sitting on a shelf
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...i_Motor_3700kv

It's sitting there because it is under powered and really made the blade seem like a dull knife. Don't believe everything you read, 3700kv and 700w should have been a power house, NOT.

it would have been 3700kv`s at 700watt`s if you ran it with a 4s system

it`s probaly a 3200kv at 350watt`s on 3s

I used one of those turnigy motors for a while, you're kidding if you think it's down on power.
The thing is, you need an 11T pinion on the B400 to wake it up with that motor.
Guzziman is running one of the turnigy typhoon motors on 11T.
It seems to have just as much power as the eflite motor, but Ihaven't flown that setup as my b400 has since been retired in favour of a 450pro.

Not sure how the 2836-3700 is a dull knife, on my HK 450 it is certainly a powerhouse with a 3S 25C and 40A ESC. Love the motor, and it's going into my Blade this weekend...

the shaft spec`s should be posted with the motor.
if it`s a 3700kv motor, i`d get a 10t, 11t, &12t pinion`s. this way you`ll have a varity of choice`s.
e-flite pinion`s only fit e-flite motor`s, unless you drill out the step down.

The turnigy motors shaft is 3.17mm, so you can just use a standard t-rex 450 pinion.

yeah they fit on the original motor mount without modification.
Only thing I would do, is elongate the holes on the frame for the motor mount.
This is so you can get better gear lash adjustment. I would do this even using the stock motor, as mine was always very tight.

+1, mine fits just fine on the Blade 400 using stock motor plate. Just make sure to use short 3.17mm pinions. The ones from Hobby King are too long, and they didn't fit well. I used one from cnchelicpoter, and it worked great. The only problem was that the pinion screw was smaller than 1.5mm - I used one of my standard hexes, don't know that size, but it was a little smaller than 1.5mm...

Guzziman is running the 3450 version of those without issue.
Just remember they're refering to the motor mount, which is metal on the b400.
The HK450 has a plastic motor mount and probably the reason why the note is there.
