3000 model memory? After I build 2995 more helicopters, I won't be able to afford a new radio!

Good lord what were they thinking. That thing better cost way less than a dx7 for how ugly it is . . .

looks like pack some logical new features (SD card, lipo battery, integrate their telemetry product, mode switching, 10 channel) into an astoundingly ugly new skin!

It doesn't look like a thumb guy like me could even use it - the sticks are too far in...

In Europe they like radios with the switches all up top like that.

If you look at the Europe version fo the 14MZ it is just like that with switch location!

i had to look at the calendar to make sure it's not April first

i think most people that are used to normal looking transmitters will not be comfortable with that fixed hand rest. i think that is what handeblagen means.

I love the looks of it! But then I always tend to like stuff the majority doesn't.

Yeah, I don't think it looks THAT bad. Does look a little toy-ish, compared to my DX7.

The UK is not in europe (in spirit - despite our traitorous Groden Brown) so we have the same TX style as in the US

When I first saw the thread title I thought oh god Spektrum have just brought out a revised DX7 just weeks after I have acquired a DX7. Im a late adopter. Then again there is always some thing new round the corner.

Were they on some kind of hallucinogen or something? It looks like a Pong (Video game) machine from the 1970s.

I wouldn't have that given to me, I don't care what it can do.

When I saw the tag line to this thread I thought it might be good. Then I saw the radio. No thanks.

It's too square for one and it seems a lot of space is wasted on the face of the radio. I'm sure the gimbles can be removed and replaced with normal ones but overall, I'm not a fan. It seems like it would be a lot lighter but I'm not sure that's something this market really desires. I mean I don't want to have a brick hanging from my neck but today's radios aren't terribly heavy as it is. I guess the German market likes it since they're the ones that designed it. To each his/her own I guess.

Looks like something you would command a bomb disabling robot with. The Euro's sure love the command post type transmitters.
This will never be sold in the U.S. I don't think it looks bad but it is not the laid back holding style frame we are use too.
