works good on mine.
no problems to setup the throttle range on a align governor with two spektrum sats.
Works exactly the same as it was connected to a regular AR7000.

Is it worth it for me to even attempt to make this setup work or should I just forget it and run an AR7000 while we wait for the V5.0 update?

Thanks for the help!
It looks like it runs fine for some of the govs and others it doesn't. Give it a shot and see if you dont get the twitching or a hard time with binding/setup mode. I havent messed with the Align Govs so I cant really say much about it. But like it has been mentioned......there is a known issue and V5 is suppose to correct the problm.

Using the RX to feed the Vbar seems to be a sure way of knowing that your setup is going to work the way you want. It was just for my Peace of Mind.

Spectrum Analyzer

Do note that USB cable will have some effect on what I do in the video, a BT module would have been better.

Nice videos!

I just upgraded my Logo 400 to V5 and I was able to run the spectrum analyzer on the bench to find where a vibration was. Funny, like yours, it was in the tail. What's weird is that my numbers are still pretty high. I played with different blades and tapes, and I got it down to about 900 on the scale, so I still have a way to go. The funny part is I have some new Edge blades that look good on the balancer, but man do the vibrate on the heli. 2900+ on the scale. I'd like to get that vibe in the 200 range.

MrMel.. Did I read somewhere that if you lower the tail gain because of tail wag the the 10/3 precomp should be raised? If so how much.. Like If I lower it from 75 to 73 then to 70.. What range should I be looking for?

Thanks
Grant

Default I-Gain, P-Gain Help

MrMel,

First THANK YOU for all the great videos!

Question for you regarding your Advanced Tail Tweaking video.

In your example, you set the I-Gain, P-Gain and Acceleration to 75.
You mention if the heli has a very fast wag, it's too high P-Gain and a slow wag, too high I-Gain. You said you like to drop the common (tail gyro gain) to control wag and leave the 75/75 relationship.

My question: how important is this relationship? In other words, do the values need to be similar (ie 75/75)?

I set my heli at 75/75/75. I was getting a slow wag that the common gain would not cure. So, I played around with the I-Gain, P-Gain and Acceleration. I ended up with 63/70/65 respectively. I still need to fine tune the common gain, but so far so good.

Should I just fly and not be so concerned?

A slow wag, which common gain do not cure is a sign of binding (mechanical)

Hi MrMel

I have a quick question, I'm thinking about getting the new V-bar and I was wondering can you mount the main unit in any orientation? I know the mini V-bar unit doesn't have the external sensor and has to be mounted horizontally. I haven't found any info regarding this but I did see you video where the main unit was mounted on a slopped area, so I'm guessing it's okay?

Thanks in advance

The main unit can be mounted any way you want it mounted. Only the sensor mounting is critical.
