Default brand new battery - flight only lasts 1 minute

hi there,
i'm still having issues with my esky comanche.
i've just charged a brand new Mystery battery.
after flying only 1 minute, the heli couldn't go higher than 1 feet.
the same happened with all batteries since day one.
what could be possibly happening, for god's sake?
thanks.

I have the same problem with my E-Sky Hunter. My guess is the motors but not sure.
I have a good charger and the batteries (all five of them) all take a full charge and balance to 4.2 volts per cell. I have even tried letting the heli cool down for a hour
and then fly again with the same battery - one minute flight and then its back to
just flying above the ground. I have changed both motors with the same results.
Oh well I have sense moved to a Align 450. Now I fly for about eight minutes before changing batteries.

hi,
finally i found someone who "understands" me...
i changeg the motors too, with no success.
i was thinking it could be the charger, but after reading what u said i am not that sure anymore.
i've heard a few bad things about the stock esky charger tough.
yesterday, i chargeg tha battery just out of the box on the esky charger.
it took only 15 minutes for the leds on the charger indicate that the charge had completed.
i started flying the comanche just to find out that the flight would only last 1 minute.
then, i let the battery sit for a while and charged it again on my eflite stock charger.
now, it took more than 1 hour for the charge to complete.
i flew my blade cx3 with the battery and it flew for more than 4 minutes, with good and reliable power.
after 4 minutes i land because i don't want to damage the battery.
today, i'm gonna charge it again on the eflite charger and try to fly my comanche.
what happens today will tell me what is going on.
i mean, if the comanche flyes for 4 minutes or so, my problem is the esky charger.
if not, my problem is the comanche itself.
regards.

I have charged my 450 batteries (3s 2200mah 25c) on two separate Esky chargers. Never had an issue with either one.

In fact the Esky chargers I have tested balance better than the both the Eflite charger for the Blade 400 and the smaller Eflite charger that comes with the CX2/CX3.

It's always possible to get a factory defect with any product.

Hi Barak,
I’ve just charged my battery with the Eflite charger and flown my Comanche, but nothing changed.
After 1 or 2 minutes, the heli couldn't hover higher than 1 foot.
I don't think it is the charger anymore.
After the flight, the battery was hotter than after flying with the cx3.
There's one thing I never mentioned but that may be important:
The 4in1 unit that came with the heli is different from the one I have now.
The heli crashed, the unit #1 broke down and I replaced it.
Then, I had another crash and replaced it again.
The problem is that units #2 and 3 are different from the original one.
#1 used to take only 3 seconds to bind.
#2 used to take between 15 and 45 seconds to bind.
#3, the current one, is just the same as #2.
I opened unit #1 and #2 and could see that they were completely different.
The design and construction are different.
Is it possible that units #2 and #3 and fake products and that my current problems are due to it?
Remember, I’ve already replaced the motors and servos too!
Is there anything in the 4in1 unit that will tell me that it is a genuine Esky product?
When I throttle the 4in1 green led turns red. What does it mean, please?

Thanks.

It means that the 4in1 can't provide any more current than it's currently providing. Normally this means that your motors are shot.

but the motors are new.
i replaced them.
the 4in1 unit is taking too long (45 secs) to bind.
is it normal?
it's so odd.
the original 4in1 used to bind in 3 secs.
how long does it take for your esky coaxials to bind?

My 4 in 1 (still original) takes about 20 seconds to bind, always did.
Also the red light on the 4 in 1 will come on at full throttle. I was told on another forum that it was normal and not to worry about it. I agree that it is caused by the 4 in 1 not being able to supply enough power to the motors.
P.S. I am running 1000 mah batteries (still only one minute flight time) my Esky battery that came with the Hunter will not even get the bird off of the ground even though it still takes a full charge.

Did any of you figure out what the problem is? i have a blade CX3 and i charge my 800mah Lipo on my Turnigy Charger. I put in CX3 and Fly and it's fine and about 40 seconds it spins to the ground slowly and can't even hover it anymore...i wait a few seconds and then i can lift in the air again and in a few seconds it would fall...i understand i should be able to get 4 or 6 minutees...Why am i only getting a minute..i was thinking of changing the motors but i hate wasting money. seems like some of you did that already and still had same problem...what in the world could be making this CX3 only fly for a minutes before dying....Anyone Please?
