![]() I would monitor the pack carefuly Lipos can catch fire after a hard impact . I keep my lipos in a ammo box just in case and chrge them under a zip lock back filled w/ sand . If battery fails and ignites im hoping the bag will melt releasing sand.

![]() Here are the pics, I have slightly straightened it out. It was a pretty hard landing and the lipo took the brunt. I thought the ESC was OK but when I plugged another lipo (motor disconnected) in the ESC heated up and caught fire!
This is the Lipo type http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/11-1v-2800mAh-...item3effacd5a5

![]() Funny thing.. (but not that funny either). I did the same thing this afternoon!! Failed loop and ejected lipo.. bent a bit.
I bet it will be fine, but I agree, just monitor it closely for the next few uses.. also during charge. Gotta love the B400 though.. only a bad main shaft, feathering shaft and main gear today.. cheapo fix.

![]() Damaged lipo = more chance of an explosion
it may be fine when not under load but could become volatile when in use or charging, lipos are wound sheets of plastic material with lithium polymer compound wraped between the sheets, when these sheets get damaged the compounds can touch the other layers causing the chain reaction and heat which causes ballooning then fire, all it takes is it to be put under further stress then kapow! if it looks like really bent then get shot of it, if its just slightly damaged with no kinks to the edges then it might be ok you can put it on a charge cycle and monitor the voltage level, if one or more dont come near the highest voltage in a cell then the chances are you have killed one or more cells, and shouldent use it anymore ![]() |
