Default 2s lipo on futaba rx's

I have a friend who runs futaba. He wants to run straight 2s lipo but afaik the Futaba Rx's aren't rated for 8.4v, and some failures have been reported. I don't want him to taco a model due to that choice. He's got his heart set on it though for some reason, I dunno.

I'm a JR/Spektrum guy so not that framiliar with the in/out's of Futaba.

None of them are rated for 8V except for the upcoming S-Bus 6107SP and 6007SP (not available in the US yet).
