The canopy clips is PITA to clip properly...

All the parts above was DIY... from spray cans and Vynils

It's not cheap, but it's worth it:

Default New bird

My first Align heli, brought by father Christmas, and my first heli this size, with 4 successful flights
Assembly and settings went without problems.
I put a piece of printed circuit board on the battery tray to extend it, because of the 600 size boom the battery has to be toward the front.
The low battery alarm can be heard very well.
Maidened it in the fog on january 12th (couldn't wait longer !), just 1 lipo hovering and 1 lipo short circuits.
Flew it also last sunday in the meadows near my town, 2 flights with fast circuits, no aerobatics yet. Handels very smooth, and the sound, hhmmm !
I hope the weather will become better, it's always dull and rainy here...
For now it's 100% stock, with a 3GX FBL system.

The battery is a 5000 mAh.
Its size is about 52 x 55 x 148 mm.
On the photo with the battery plate the red line is were the rear of the battery has to be for a correct CoG. Battery length is the distance between the red line and the front of the extended battery plate.

Default My Trex 550e DFC

Hello Guys

I show my T-Rex 550E, updated almost entirely to the DFC version V3 ....

The reports remain the standard choice for straight teeth

After the elongation of the tail, I noticed a strong imbalance of the model, so I thought I'd create me to the CNC battery mount a custom, so as to allow the movement of the battery and a slight increase to keep it more comfortable on the inside of the canopy without friction could spoil, canopy and battery and saw that the work was in progress, I used two existing holes on the frame to make a stiffening bar in the front.

Nice bird - see you're running the 6013 Viper motor. I just picked one up a couple months ago but have only done a few break in flights on it due to weather and now bc i'm doing a new servos. How do you like the motor so far? What headspeed/blades are you running on it?

Hello.
The engine is very good, and for a long time that I have and now I am fully satisfied, and has good power!

I like to fly sport, and make soft 3d ..... I really like to see the helicopter maneuvers slow and not too fast.

Currently flying with the governor and use these speeds:

Throttle only 30% of 1854 rpm for takeoff

Throttle 70% 2202 rpm for Soft 3D (in this configuration, just doing simple flew the length of the flight and 7:42 seconds)

Throttle 100% 2597 rpm for sport flying (flight time .... 4:00 minutes!)
* Using Maingear and pinion from 17T to 170T, with rotor blades from 550mm and 90mm Tail Blades

Batteries used FullPower series Gold 5000mah 40-70C discharge and
GigaPower Mega Series with 5200mah 60-98c discharge

System Fbl Brain.

Upgraded the tailcase, added Helioption single piece mainshaft block with thrust bearings and improved the wiring (cleaner and boom mount can now be removed while leaving wiring in place)
