Question Tail wag solved!! DX7 Rx settings?- long thread

I have a DX6i and a DX7

Trex 450 Pro, hitec servos,JR3500G tail, Spartan Quark, Stock ESC so no Gov mode

I had the 450 bound to the DX6i and it flew great. Great little heil! I then purchased the DX7 and bound it to the 450 and went through the whole setup process. I did not have to make any physical changes (thanks to Finless setup vids) only a few clicks of subtrim and travadj for CCPM interaction. Used the same throttle/pitch curves and gyro settings as the DX6i. Flat throttle curve of 100% with stock motor and pinion. Tail wagged like crazy. Adjusted gain, curves etc no luck. Rebound with DX6i and she flew fine!! I am not using revo or mixing in the DX7.

Trex 550e, stock servos, Spartan Quark, Scorpion 4025-1100 w/ CC100, CC BEC pro, 20T pinion
Gov mode with 15, UI #1 70%, UI # 2 100%

Same thing. Flew great with the DX6i. Crashed and repaired and bound to the new DX7. Same thing as the 450. Tail wagged like crazy, I spent 3 weeks with hours and hours of reading threads, replaced everypart!!, rebuilt from ground up with no binding issues, balanced and rebalanced, gyro and curve settings, gyro positions and gyro tape configurations, but still wagged. Rebound with the DX6 and flew great. Rock solid. (Keep in mind I had to go easy because using the 6000 series receiver I could only plug in 1 of the connectors from the CC Pro BEC) but it was night and day.

Trex 500 stock and never crashed and never bound to the DX6i. Works kinda on the DX7 but wags at the end of piro moves and in the wind. Tried everything including rebuild with no binding and minimal vibrations. Still flew better than the Trex 550e (with wag not in general), until I bound it back to the DX6i.

What is this newb doing wrong???

So my question is what am I doing wrong with the DX7? What are the Hover Pitch and the Hover throttle switches for. Not in my manual anywhere. I have the Walkera 2800 pro Tx. I remember when I used to fly Walkera those settings really messed with the performance of some of my helis but not all. I have Gear set for Gyro and Aux2 set to F. MOD. Lower gain for UI settings. Tried without also just 1 gain setting for all throttle curves. Tried all gain settings possible, and changed up pitch curves. Tried fixed end points also. It has to be my Rx. I think it is the Hover Pitch.
Thanks for reading this long thread
