Default Can I use these blades

My n5c had a crash and the only damage to the blades were one of them can be seperated about 2mm and about 2" long no cracks anywhere....would hate to buy new blades but dont wanna have it explode in flight... thinking I could just put a dab of CA on on it and it would seal fine.....

It's a risk - but I would say as long as there are no cracks showing on either of the surfaces - it might be ok. What kind of crash was it?

I would not use them. The cost of crashing your heli is nothing compared to the chance of hurting yourself or others. Safety first!

Yeah I personally wouldn't run them, based on the damage in the video.

If it was just a nicked edge near the tip or something, sure. I've CA'ed that to keep any strands from separating/running, but that's a good amount of separation.

Too risky for such a nice heli.

+1 Toss em.

Do you crash often? Maybe some cheaper CF blades are in order. Dunno.

The price of a set of blades is negligible compared to the risk of having a failure that can cause injury to yourself or others, not to mention the damage to the heli

These type of threads come up a lot. My feeling is if you're concerned enough to post about it, pitch them.

They are... I have flown them, and like them alot... I do have to say. I like the new Edge 693SE's slightly better. Not much, just slightly. they have a little more pop... Rails are very nice though.... Well made, good looking, and very efficient..

Gonna toss them..... the reason I posted is because I was unsure if they could be fixed or if anyone has tried to fix something like this.... if there were cracks visible I wouldnt have even asked

I have repaired dents and other minor dings in a blade with epoxy kinda as a filler. def no long splits however.

I can tell if a blade still has its integrity by dropping it on a tile floor (not very high tho)
if it makes a kind of ringing sound its internal integrity is ok. A "thunk" means it goes in the trash.
