Where can I get a cable to connect my DX6i to my laptop? I don't have the $ fro Phoenix sim right now so I was hoping to use some free online progs?? Can one make a cable? USB to Phono jack, or is there special electronics included on the sim cable?

If you're really looking to do it on the cheap it's possible to use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm mono or stereo audio lead to plug the transmitter into your sound card. You'll then need to use PPJoy and smartpropoplus to get the transmitter talking to your SIM. This method is not really ideal, there is some jitter.

The next cheapest approach is to buy one of these:

$7.51 with free shipping, it'll take several weeks to arrive though. This will give you a much better experience than the sound card method.
