Look at the wires first of all. Look at the bends in the tail servo wire.

There's also a poorly placed sticker on the tail servo. Fingerprints on the glass table. Flaws in the sheetrock on the back of the room. Flaws in the paint on the canopy. Parts of the image are out of focus.

A good rendering is damn near impossible to tell apart from the real thing, but you're right--things like the tail servo wire are probably too intricate and would be easier to just make it smooth. It may still be a composite of 3D rendering, Photoshop, and who knows what else. It just doesn't look right to me and I'm not the first one to yell "FAKE!!!" like everyone loves to do online.

No, it doesn't look real at all, they did a pretty bad job on the dust in front of the tires, which isn't an area where dust would bellow from anyway, they just needed to smudge the lines under the car and did poorly I might add.

Edit: Squeaky deleted the picture I was referring to in this post. It was a bad attempt by someone to Photoshop a Mercedes Benz in a desert landscape, I hope it wasn't done by "professionals" cause it really looked like a kid did it.

Lets tell a story..........Once upon a time, there were horse and buggy carriages. These carriages were the absolute "Way" to travel for the distiguished Gentleman. And........nothing else could be imagined that would ever be better.

A few very Intrepid individuals came up with renderings and ideas of a new form of transport for the UPper class of citizen. These would actually employ steam power yet do away with the entire hassle of having to have a team of horses to lead it.

These ideas were CRAZY and bordered upon heresy amongst the carriage builders and general public.(OHHH how we do not dare to dream!)

Time went on and the ideas were funded and placed into production. Afew peoples dreams came to life and actually took form.

Ya know, when I was a child, I grew up in a very old home, close to the city and we used to have an actual CARRIAGE house out back which served as our garage.

I would have loved to see the people of the days when it was built, comment upon what we had parked within it then. Wonder if they would be so quick to call it a FAKE or if they would have Marveled at the possibilities that were in front of them?

How fortunate we are to DREAM and have each other as a community (Helifreak) to bounce all of these things of each other.

Being in the industry, This little guy is POSSIBLE........likely?....Only time will tell.

..I can not see a .049 or .051 being up to the task...

I don't think it's rendered or photoshop work. Someone actually made this, possibly not Align. It may be a spoof but they are real pictures of a real helicoptor that may or may not actually fly. Align has been known to prototype things and never put them to market. Like the 700 Gasser they made. The Trex-100 was also debated until recently as being fake/vaporware.

Hopefully the source of the pictures will clear things up eventually.

Trex 100 exists and there is a video of it flying. It is a fp bird along the lines of a msr.

People are too quick to jump on the "fake" bandwagon, it's almost as bad as reading YouTube comments, unless it comes with a certificate of authenticity then there will always be those who can't/ won't believe it.
