They might have had it way lean trying to get it to lift off? My friend had one of the micro nitro trucks from X-ray and it didn't put off much smoke....or power for that matter.

I agree with a point made way earlier that engines this small are notoriously hard to tune and keep running an slapping one on a heli that is nearly impossible (not fully impossible, I know) to auto. Much like those little trucks, they're just a novelty with little actual performance to speak of, just a neat waste of money.

Something that small, with such a small gas tank, wouldn't fly for very long if it was real.

a cox .049 running flat out on a pylon plane will run approx 5 min on a 8cc tank that tank at least looked like 2 oz that would be good for 10 min probably
