Default Help with setting up a certain feel (hard to describe)

ok im trying to get my fusion 50 with a Beast x to feel like my 6HV with Vbar..so here the thing....when im hovering my 6HV with vbar and flip into a nose in inverted hover..the flip locks in nice and smooth and stays in one spot...but when i flip my fusion with Beast X the part where i stop and catch the flip into a inverted hover the heli moved some and i gotta use some elevator to pull it back and level it out..almost like its hard rigid feel that slips out on me...its very hard to describe....i just don't like how when i flip the heli into inverted it glides into hard stop.... does pot 2 have anything to do how the cyclic feels when you flip it around...

i just thought i post this and see if anyone knows what i mean...i doubt anyone can help since its so hard to discribe

think the word i was looking for was coasting....looked at the sticky and #6 might be me issue gotta raise pot 1 up some

from sticky

6. Fly heli and set your Flip/Roll rates via ATV's in the transmitter. Watch for any large bobbles or coasting when letting off the cyclic. If it bobbles reduce Dial 1. If it coasts increase Dial1.

Can be a low pot 1 gain... can also be a low parameter C as well.

Could also be too soft on the mounting. Another thing: The gyro mount in the Fusion is quite flexible. I plan to mount my Microbeast on the side of the frame, I just don't like how flexible the mounting tray is.

Very good, so that's not the issue. I'd still try firmer mounting tape (3M gray or 3M 4010). The soft mount can let the unit keep moving after the heli stops, giving you a softer feel and/or some bounceback.

good idea about the tape..first il try with the setting in the Micro Beast and if that doesn't solve my issue then I'll get some of the 3M stuff......

Thanks Guys

I would be very curious to see if you guys get vibrations after increasing pot1 with the MB on a Fusion. As soon as I increase pot1 just a bit I get a pretty nasty vibration on the aileron axis. So I am curious if other people experience the same with the MB.

What headspeed are you running? The damping in the Fusion is VERY stiff, it seems intolerant of headspeeds below 2000...

my fusion don't like HS under 1950 other wise the head shakes like crazy..BUT i am using the KBDD lime green FBL dampeners so thats prob why the heli don't like anything below 1950....BUT i got the same dampeners on my 6HV and when im in normal mode 1850 or 1800 i think i have it set too it runs so smooth not a shake in sight..so the fusion itself don't like low HS in general i guess

Agreed. Mine shakes it's money maker bad under 1950. When I use it for nightime parking lot FAI flying I have to run it at 2000 to stay smooth

Oh yeah, and to the OP... Switch to the gray 3M. It will fly better all around

I am now flying on 2130rpm and pot1 on standard position. As soon as I increase pot1 just a bit I get a violently shaking heli.
So I am curious to see if you guys with 2100+rpm can also get it to shake when increasing pot1.
I am just wondering if pot1 is limited to much. Just like with the tailgain I want pot1 as high as possible. But perhaps I should just accept the position of pot1 and see if anything can be improved with other parameters.

Perhaps I am experiencing the same behaviour as AntiTaco. When I do tictocs it often seems like at the end when reversing the motion it gets some extra elevator movement. Perhaps this has to do with the pitching up behaviour? I dont get what that setting does from a theoretical point of view.
This is a effect of to high pitching up compensation

But, if the value is too high the helicopter might feel sluggish and lazy. Try to find the lowest suitable setting.
so perhaps I should lower it....
