![]() Well who would have thunk they slapped a flipping motored tail on it......if only someone could have seen that coming.
![]() EDIT: I'm not sure how much faith I have in those servos, real ones would be more confidence inspiring but at least they had the bright idea to make them possible to replace.....I hope. That always bugged me on the MSR, we'll sell servos separately but good luck trying to switch them on the 5-1 board without melting it. I guess I could have twisted the wires together but that's sloppy and risky.

![]() Here is a concept. If you dont like it, dont buy one! Comparing this to a walkera is foolish. They are 2 totally different machines.

![]() The dude with the camera SUCKS.... Couldn't follow a butterfly
![]() But I am VERY interested in this heli. You can tell it is not easy to fly but I bet for an indoor that is CP, might be fun! I want one for sure! Bob

![]() Sweet... a new micro heli to mod to all hell. Don't worry mo, I'll put a TT on this little thing...
![]() I'm thinking that board probably has its similarity's to the AR6400 RX, if that's true then it should have the x-port. And if it does a brush-less upgrade should be fairly easy. Cant wait, def getting this thing...

![]() Am I not entitled to an opinion, and am I not also allowed to express my opinion in an open forum? I don't see how two micro CP's are two totally different machines aside from the obvious that they're made by different people but they're marketing the same class heli so.......yeah. I guess it is foolish to compare this to the only other thing in it's class since that other thing has had so much more time to be refined, remember the first 4g3 and it's motored tail, wonder why that's not getting better reviews?

![]() I really like those linear servos. It would be nice to have servos like that to use on 450 size and up, esp. on the tail. No more messing around with finding the best servo arm, etc.

![]() Quick! Before word of this gets out!
Edit: On the subject of the tail motor. As disappointing as a motor driven tail is on a cp heli, the mSR tail performance is impressive and durable. I've crashed my mSR probably 200 times. I'm still on the original tail motor and my second prop. Developing a tt/cp tail that can take as much of a beating as a motor driven tail is probably not practical in both R&D and production cost. Butterfly videography is incredibly difficult and is very serious business! <jk>

![]() FYI, size wize this is not the same size as the MSR. It's about halfway between the MSR and the Walkera 4G6 in terms of main rotor diameter. MSR 180mm main rotor diameter, 4G6 300mm, MCPx 245mm This should easily make it the smallest collective pitch heli for now.
I think this will be a great size. I'm sure it will be twitchy but I found with my 4G6 that it helped my flying skills. Wish it used real servos but I suspect the linear servos help with price and weight. |
