Default Phoenix 3.0r - "QuadCopter support added?"

Hey guys,

I was just reading up on what's new with Phoenix while the update installed, and what do I see? "QuadCopter support added"?? I just so happen to be in a big multi-rotor phase, and if I can use Phoenix for practicing quad flying, that would be awesome.

Does anyone know what this "support" is about? I don't see any new models or other mentions of "quadcopter" anywhere. I assume this means eventually we'll get an "official" quadrotor model in there...

Cheers,
Ben.

flying a quad really isn't any different than flying a fixed pitch heli.

my tri will sit pretty much where i put, it's like a big msr

I know the controls are the same as an FP heli, but with the aditionnal challenge of keeping the correct orientation in your head at all times since all sides look the same. Still, there are things quads can do that FP helis can't, such as flips and rolls, that I wanted to try in a sim before real life

My real quad has foam blocks and LED strips on the beams to help orientation, but even with a different color on the front, it's hard to spot the true orientation when the quad is far away and you think you're confused (multiple orientations will look the same when the depth perception is gone).

Cheers,
Ben.
