Default missed my MT v1 so built a 6S FBL

I missed my MT v1 with upright tail (had several) so I put another together. The upright tail isn't good for 3D, but I just love the looks and am not interested in 3D anyway.

MT SE V1 purchased used but unflown.
MSH 2580 kVa motor, 10 tooth pinion, CC ICE Lite 50 ESC
Mini V-Bar, Spektrum H3020 on cyclic, S9257 on rudder
New TT FBL head, upright tail from Cobra conversion kit.
6S 1800 packs. AUW is 2.28 pounds. Running 2900 RPM and experimenting with main blade selection.
Just ordered TT Yellow FRP canopy.

Ha!! I see you too had to put balancing tape on the red devils... I was a bit shocked when I weighted mine and saw such a large difference, whereas even my Turnigy rough riders were completely balanced out of the box... and those are not the first SAB's I use...

Yes, they needed a slight amount of tape to make them perfect. But with their holiday price they had at AMainHobbies, they were worth it!

My new "indoor" flyer Not much on Micros, and the local club sanctioned dome events allow 450s so... Thunder Tiger was a no brainer.

Hi Chris Sexton,

Did you have any issues getting the FBL within the Vbar's cyclic and collective ranges?

Here's my V1. Recently went fbl and added a paint job. I was getting tired of the stock white and stickers.

The Tarot head is the first and only fbl setup I've flown so I have nothing else to compare it to, but seems to be of good quality.

Default e325

Just saved a half assembled e325 v1 off ebay. I will post some pics when its further along. going to have to start over with the canopy, plus some other missing parts. glad to see this old-er bird still has a following.
well dug up some parts from previous helis to get it ready for radio gear and power. it is now part belt cp, part exi, and unfortunately part align. I plan on replacing all non original parts with TT. I like the nostalgia of an all original bird. Everything i need to put it in the air will be here next week. minus a canopy. my plan is to wet sand this one and start over. it would atleast be a good practice canopy.

Nice to see. One of life's little pleasures, a v1.
