Default MCPx: Sneek peek (quad rotor head)

My warranty is voided :/
On the bright side, I'm going to have a extremely scale MCPx =)
Brushless main is going in next to compensate for the heavy fuselage and of course im going to be adding a bigger battery!

Materials so far:
1 extra set of main blade grips
1 machined rotor hub for 4 blades
1 set Extra linkages
1 set custom pin
1 set of spacers
1 set extended screws for main hub and grips

More to come and ill update as I make progress

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_zJH65LDFA[/ame]

Update: tail motor is way too weak to handle the extra torque created by the main rotor causing a very unstable piro. Main rotor is going under the knife again to reduce weight and attempt again.

Be interesting to see how the flybarless controller deals with it since there is no adjustment available.

Great project!

Should fly perfectly fine! I'll get a video up soon of a hover test+4 blades. I'll top it off using the model blades too lol

Come on!!!! Youre going to post something that cool and not give us any details on what you used. That thing is awsome even if it never flys. Good job.

Wow this looks awesome! The swash in stock form is ready to go with the extra links. I'm guessing you custom machined a 4 blade hub. Looking forward to info on this mod. Great work and concept.

Awesome, but I can't tell how this is an MCPX? Pretty sweet though if it is. Now we need tri-blades, and five-blades.

What other tail motors might be suitable for handling the extra torque but still light enough?

Dude.... I think that’s a question that 99% of the people here would like to know.

IDK, when you find out let us know

What about the Oversky 2.9g motor. The 4G3 stock is 2g an no bearings

Alot of it is hand made. It does fly but the tail doesnt hold at all, I'm working on a lighter head so maybe itll help reduce the torque and fly the way it should

Pics will come when I have a solid design lol
