Default Logo 600SX Tail issues

Good Day,

Bench testing a newly completed Logo 600SX.

Issue: Any collective or cyclic stick movement causes the tail blades to move back and forth slightly. In the air that translates to tail wags back and forth. In the brief moments (in the air) of no stick movement the tail doesn't move. Solid hold. A fast collective movement causes the tail slider to move to the end point and doesn't return.

What I've done. Disconnected all the cyclic servos. No change.
This tail "glitch" occurs using the ESC or my flight pack used for just powering the VBAR.
Changed wiring locations thinking that maybe there was some interference.

A colleague mentioned Pre-comp? or mixing? Looking through the Vcontrol manual I see no reference to pre-compensation or mixing. Googling pre-comp, I don't think that is a cause. Plus on my TREX550 there never was any issue with the tail. (also a Vbar)

Options: Change the servo? Clear all data on the VBAR and re-configure?

Appreciate any assistance.

Yes it is "pre-comp", Mikado calls it TC Cyclic and TC Collective, it will not cause a wag, rather a swing to one or the other side if not set correctly. The default setting for the Logo 600 works perfectly.

https://www.vstabi.info/en/node/1677

Torque Compensation Collective adds tail input when the collective stick is moved, to unload the tail gyro in situations where high changes in torque occur. To fine tune, do vertical climb outs and watch the tail: increase, if the tail does't hold, decrease if the compensation is too high (banked).

Torque Compensation Cyclic adds tail input when the elevator and aileron sticks are moved, to unload the tail gyro in situations where high changes in torque occur. To fine tune, do elevator or aileron flips and watch the tail: if the tail does not hold properly, increase. If the tail over-compensates, decrease (banked)

Thanks for the response. Don't see this option in my Radio. Is this another app I need to purchase and download?
Will the optimizer properly set this?
Can I turn it off? Why is this needed for this heli and not my Trex?
What if I re-program the VBAR for a generic 600 vs the Logo 600?

It is a wag. When I apply an input the tail wags. It stops when I don't apply movement. I'll attempt to post a video.

Your tests are in the air or on the bench? It sounds perfectly normal to me, but I haven't seen it fly.

Tail expert is part of pro right? Is the optimiser part of pro?

If it is definitely a wag by initiating something that requires the tail slider to move a wag can be caused by the rudder slider not moving freely thereafter or the blade grips locking up for some reason.

From the first post it sounds like he’s doing this all on the bench and has not flown it yet.

If it has been flown, he needs to run the optimizer.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, Pro Parameters App has the expert settings.
I'll run optimizer as soon as possible. Thanks again.
