Default Bell 47 MCPx [UPDATED pics+video]

I'm currently building a Bell 47 scale MCPx
This one is based on an "academy" 1/35 model.

Here's how it look like so far, I'll post more details on the adaptation later

First test flights proved to be successfull, the heli looks great in the air:-)
There are a few minor things I need to adjust, and on to the paint job.

Hope you like it

------

UPDATE: Completed build

----

A few details-shots of the assembly:

The boom goes directly through the boom assembly of the scale replica. In fact, the model is just wrapped around the mcpx and supports no effort
A tiny drop of CA holds the model tail glued to the motor holder.

The body is held in place using the original posts, I glued two little shrink tubes for this purpose
The front cabin is just fixed by double-sided mirror-tape against the 5-in-1

The landing gear required some work.
To reinforce it I used bigger diameter plastic rods from the frames holding the model parts (part 1 on the pic)
I drilled holes in it and ran piano wire through it.
That should give the LG structure a bit of flex and avoid damage (that's what I hope :p)
The two inner additional rods come from the frame of the model parts too (part 2 on the pic), and have a post in the middle that goes right inside the original LG supports of the mcpx frame

A few shots in-flight

Handles great, but I broke the LG, I need to make something a bit tougher...
When it's done, time for the paint job...

I must say the original idea comes from a youtube video by pixylex:
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk63oPfVl9I[/ame]

Great idea in fact, but it was not easy to see the details on the video

---

Anyway, I picked up some tamiya paint at the shop yesterday and... tadaaaa:

Still a lot of things to do, but I think this one should come out pretty well
Thinking of adding some LEDs too (have to see how I can wire this cleanly)
