What is the max HP of the engines that can be used with this kit? Can man compare them with an RC engine?

The 700 conversion will handle anything you want to put on it remember, it has the slant type Radikal gears...

What's the purpose of the aluminium ribs on the side?

Canopy spacers or something else?

Those are for stiffening the frame.
The design is based heavily on the Century Radikal G30

We decided it helps even this design to help with the extra weight of a gasser to keep as stiff as possible....

On the Radikal, instead of using heavy X brace near the center point that you are trying to stabilize, its much easier and more effective to brace further out, not to mention the weight savings which is what we are after...
