My fuel is sloshing and foaming really bad as soon as it lifts off the ground!

I have balanced the clutch, fly wheel, clutch bell,and fan. As well as the fly bar paddels,tail blades,main blades. nothing seems to be bent either.

What could this be?

I do remember that when I first ran-in the heli, First 7 tanks that it did not do this.

Other then the fuel sloshing and foaming it fly's excellent!

Maxx26, I do not know what could be causing this problem. I am sure others on here with more experience will have more input. However, until then, here are some things to look at on this link.

I have been having the same problem, and I think the engine is not completly broken in yet. The engine is new with my cal 5 and I was breaking it in on some pretty cold days. I plan on running it today as the temp is up in the 50's. Don't panic, keep the needles in the factory position with the high end kind of rich, and I think it will work itself out. Tom

Hey thanks tom.
Not broke-in yet ? That could be it.
My buddy rich flow his raptor with a new 50 hyper in it last weekend and the tail fins, boom struts shook like crazy. The high end was three turns out he set it back to 1.5 turns and the shake was gone.
But my needle is at 1.5 turns and I am on about the 20th tank. Should I start leaning it out ? or run another gallon through :twisted:

Well the fuel isn't foaming, I leand it out and now she flies smothe as butter :glasses2:

Now If I can only get the rain to stop

Friday was a great day for flying, 65 and no wind or rain but only had time for one tank in each.
Next weekend is calling for 65 saturday and 70 sunday.
I have a 1/8 scale race saturday and sunday I will be out back flying :glasses2:

If this wind holds off It is gusting 20-30mph out today

Maxx26, check back plate temp with yoru finger you should be able to count to 3 or 4 seconds before you need to remove your finger from the heat, any leaner then that and your going to fry your engine, fly her rich then lean, I noticed that the hypers tends to lean a mid tank so i keep mine a little rich for the mid tank issue.
