Default Just got a B400, have a few questions

I was looking at a new 450 but for now bought a used Blade 400. Everything but batteries was included. I plan to check it all over and go through the whole setup to make sure everything is safe before spooling it up.

What I would like to know is:

-recommendation for decent budget batteries; looked at some but not sure which will fit/work with this heli

-replacement blades(main and tail); again there's lots of them out there but not sure which will fit/work. I've seen 325 and 335mm on ebay for quite cheap, some are fibreglass and some are carbon fibre. Also not sure about tail blades. I could just buy the eflite blades but they're significantly more than the cheap ones out there.

-recommendation of a good tool set, there's the eflite set and other sets on ebay.

Thanks for any help/advice you can offer. I will continue reading through the forums for info and advice but at the moment I'd like to know where the deals on batteries and blades are so I can get them ordered asap.

Im definetely no expert myself, only been fliying 6 months but found these blades from Helidirect work really well.

http://helidirect.com/325mm-pro-frp-...50-p-10348.hdx

By far better than stock woodies & a damn site cheaper but you do need to use shims. Would highly reccomend them as you will go through a few sets learning.
As for Batteries I got Turnigy 2200mah 25-35c for about $15 a pop from Hobbyking.
Only slightly larger than stock but will still just squeeze into canopy.
Seem to perform really well for me.
Hope this helps.

If you're in the UK, have a look on eBay for lipo king and get some 2200mah turnigy batteries. 2 for around 25 and work perfect
You'll need your own connectors fitting though.
I use Align carbon blades 325mm which you can get delivered for around 15 also

Don't know where you live but here in the U.S. most of us on the different heli forums are using these 335 mm blades. http://www.hobbypartz.com/60p-pro-3351.html

And log onto Hobbyking and pick up some turnigy 2200 35c batts and you cannot go wrong. They are about the most effective cheap half way decent batts out there.

And here are some killer batts

I see guys using these too but they are in demand and you have to be there at the right time.

Yep, KBDD in the brightest color you can stand. Really helps with orientation. I use green, but yellow or orange is the best as green will get lost with a grass/trees background.

The 59mm tail blades will be ok. You might want a taller vertical stabilizer too, especially if you use those 61mm pro blades. Longer blades will give more tail authority.

As far as a toold kit if you in the USA go to your local Harbor Freight tools they have a awesome micro tool driver set that has everything you could possibly need to repair the heli.
http://www.harborfreight.com/hand-to....html?limit=30

As for tail rotor for the same price for the e-flight you can get the Align 450 pro tail blades they come in a 4 pack. Or KBDD works great also

Batteries get at least 25-35C this way if you ever upgrade your electronics( Motor speedo) you should be covered. Again if you are in the USA make sure you order from USA warehouse from Hobby king. Alot of guys are using VOLTz batteries from readyheli.

So what difference will 325mm blades make vs 335mm blades? I see you can get a few pairs of blades for cheap on ebay but not sure what size to order.

Thanks
