You sure you're not talking about my old DX6i?

I'm not really sure what problems you're referring to but I've had zero issues with mine. I do find it ironic that the DX8 is on your list considering i see posts complaining about it almost daily.

The Aurora 9, DX8 and 8FG are all good radios. You will find people owning any of these radios that are really satisfied with them and people that have problems with them.

Speaking for myself, I picked the Aurora 9 and I am very happy with my decision. If I was buying my radio today, I would have made the same choice but I would have been less hesitant now that I know how well it works.

Weight the pros and cons and pick the one that offer most of what you find important. And donīt forget to follow your gut feeling

Another satisfied customer here too
I've had 0 problems with the Aurora 9 and I use it on all of my Heli's and the Pheonix Sim.

It really is an awesome radio I will not buy another radio unless it has built in battery telemetry in the receivers. It's such a nice feature without taking up valuable space with a telemetry module on some of the smaller heli's.
Not to mention the extra $50 a pop for a feature that could be built in to the main receiver.

The standard battery life could be better but I'm getting about 11 hours now that I've switched to a 2200mah lipo.

+1 here too, no probs so far and my flying buddy just bought one after having his dx7 lose signal once too many. The battery monitor is the best idea ever

"a training cable on another brand radio"
When setting up or testing any EP model, the throttle lock should be "On" to prevent accidental power up.
. Was the Master TX throttle lock on when this happened?

Care when setting up buddy systems as the throttle on Futaba TX and clones thereof must be the reverse of the setting (Nor/Rev) being used by the master if it is any Hitec, JR or Sanwa (Airtronics) TX to operate the trainer model..

Default no issues

Same here. Best and most flexible radio I have owned. Would buy the aurora again over an even higher priced radio.

Have had my A9 9 months now and no issues. Only complaint is same as above with battery life. Between flights and simm time cant find any issues. Would also like to c the SD cards/camera features on future models of TXs like futabas latest t18mz to be released early 2012. Hopefully Hitec will update these to color also.

Guess that wasn't clear. Had the A9 sitting on the bench while working with two other radios that were buddy boxed. The heli was on the table next to the A9 that was sitting there minding it's business taking a nap between flights

Just trying to work out what you are saying here, do the A9's not have SD card for backup?

Thanks
