I'm pretty sure those are the colored main and tail blades that Blade now makes, not all shops have them though because they are relatively new.

On the BL it is a 42 or 47 mm Lynx tail rotor.. It is "yellow", that is what they call it anyway, but it is really neon yellow-green-ish. You can see in that pic that it looks very green.

On the Mcpx v2 it is just a Blade brand v2 colored tail rotor. You can get them in all sorts of colors.

I emailed Lynx and asked them to make the BL TR in white.. and they said they would. A few days ago I got an email with some new product listings from Lynx, and one of them is the white TR. Only available at Lynx website so far, and 15 bucks is too much for shipping. Hopefully other retailers will have them soon.

Have you tried slapping the BL lynx tail blade onto the v2?....emm..maybe it will be to much for v2 tail motor..

The mcpx tail motor is hot as it is with the stock size tail rotor.

I have a new (USED) mcpx v1 mainboard to try, and a brand new solid extended boom with motor pre-installed (about the 6th one of those I have bought). It's 19F degrees here now, so probably won't be flying anything until March, but when the time comes, I hope to be flying the v2 with v1 board.

This is my one and only heli still to date. It's a bit of a bastard child as the only MCPX V2 parts left on it are the main gear, main frame and bearings.

HP06V2 / Oversky 10a V3 / BL Heli 10.4 / Gov Arm 70%
HP03T / HK XP3A / RRC prop
Nano CPX 3n1
MCPX BL head and BL Blades
MH Swash
Astroid designs Frame Cage, AR Bracket, Tail mount and Fin, Boom Struts (broken on frame brace, need to replace...)
Airtime LoPro skids
Hyperion 550ma's / Micro Deans

Heres mine. Just got it second hand from ebay a few weeks ago. Since then I have added Extended boom, MH carbon skids, and just yesterday I put on a Xtreme canopy. I also have a MH swash on order. I'll probably add a boom support and maybe some colorful blades too.

Curious what you're running on the longer flight time ones. reduced pitch and 550mah batteries?

"Basher" waiting to go outside. The snow has finally quit falling. This is the heli I learned CP on. A little beaten up but still ready to go. My favorite of the 4 MCPX V2. A lot under powered but I wish they still made them.

For a bit more than what a new one costs, you can do a brushless upgrade...

I was absolutely amazed at the power and I did 2 Mild conversions...in fact, I'm still running at about 65% flat TC because the head speed is so much higher

Thinking I might eventually do a bl upgrade. With all the low tree canopy in my yard my mcpx bl and 130x get away to fast. The V2 is great for my yard but need just a little bit more power (not a lot) for doing my flips and rolls. Wish the main motor had more torque for steady rpms. As for tail blow out I've gotten to the point where it's not hard to deal with. I've learned just how hard to push it and its easy to compensate if it does blow out.

JonJet, which main/tail/esc did you install and how are the flight characteristics? Much of a change beside the increase in power?

I have 2...

1) (Mild)
OverSky HP05 BL Motor - XP7A ESC w/BLHeli - 120SR Tail - RGC 65mm Tail Prop

This one I'm currently running at about 60% TC with 85 servo travel...I'm still getting used to all the head speed and power is amazing...tail works fine as well

2) (Milder)
OverSky HP03S V2 16000KV Brushless Motor - Soldered to XP-7A ESC 9t Pinion - Flashed with BLHeli

This one is not quite the power, but still plenty of guts...running about the same as #1 for TC and travel

The thing I have to get used to (on both) is running flat TC's...arming is simple and the costs were well worth the results
