Yep ,I use yellow nitro fuel line on mine .Got several feet of it for the Tmaxx,Savage5.9xl and the slayer.Keeps from messing up the bottom of the skids...but don`t try sliding it in to a stop.....won`t work!

Thanks for the recommendation ..just wondering what a good/suitable head set (main blade grip/head/main shaft/swash.....apart from blade's own BLH4399) for the conversion.

QFT! I haven't been able to fly much lately (upcoming job transition, moving, looking to buy my first house, and 3 kids keeps me pretty busy!), but I still manage to spend $30 here, $60 there, on all kinds of random little things!

BLH4301 Flybarless Linkage Set: B450X
BLH4303 Main Rotor Blade Grip FBL Control Balls (2): B450X
BLH4317 Flybarless Main Rotor Grip Set: B450X
BLH4321 Flybarless Spindle Set (2): B450X
BLH4322 Aluminum Flybarless Head Block Set: B450X
BLH4331 Flybarless Follower Arms: B450X
BLH4347 Flybarless Main Shaft (2): B450X

Shouldn't need this one, but maybe grab it just in case...
BLH4338 Linkage Rod/Pushrod Set: B450X

If you get all the plastic pieces, you'll be able to keep costs down, and have spare parts locally.

EDIT:
Hmm... Just added all those up on my LHS's website.. Probably cheaper to just buy the conversion kit.. That way it's all aluminum parts.

EDIT #2:
It's $10 more for the conversion kit, and it's all aluminum parts.. At least this way, if you break anything.. You can source parts locally..

Instead of converting mine.. I just bought a bare 450x Airframe.. and found a used Beastx unit.

I'll just swap the Mainshaft and head assembly onto my 450 3D, and then slap the Beastx on it.
Cost me the same as what my LHS wants for the conversion kit.. And I got a bunch of spare parts!

Sounds like you like this better then stock. I'm still a bit annoyed that the OEM gyro seems to require constant tweaking and changing of the gyro gains.

Ok so that is not going on mine since I spend a bit of time sliding around on the skids still!

I picked up this FBL head from http://www.cnchelicopter.com:

https://www.cnchelicopter.com/servle...barless/Detail

You can put it right on the 3D shaft, but it will not fit on the X shaft without shaft modification. You will have to switch the balls on the swash plate to align type ball links.

As for a controller, there are many out there. I can tell you I started with and ZYX-S controller and it didnt work out for me....... not that it a bad controller, I just didnt have the time and patience to hook it up to a computer everytime to tweek it..... not to mention I couldn't trust mine. So, like many on a budget, I picked up a AR7200BX on the HF For Sale section for a $150 and have never looked back! Love it now.

I also bought when amain had for $60.00.

Here is a link to a bare 450X frame. $90 plus $13 shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Blade-450-X-...item2a3789e5d6

I think the $340.00 shipped to your door new 450X is a better deal than upgrading a 450 3D with Blade brand parts.

Yup that would be a very good deal indeed. Optioning for just an upgrade is because I already have 3 450's in my little hangar & don;t want to add another 450

Don't do it..

Just retire one next time you have a crash, Use what's left over for parts..

OH! Okay... That's quite a bit different then.

I think most of us that have multiple 450's have more than one B450 3D or 450x.
I JUST sold my other 450 3D, only to pick up a 450x........
