Exclamation Please Help Identify Part on Board.

can anyone determine what kind of component is right under the main motor plug? it is a black two leg part. i cant tell if it is a cap or a diode. i replaced one of the main motor fets and noticed this was also damaged. thanks.

Usually it's a small signal diode, to shunt back-EMF discharge from the motor. Usually it will still work without it.

ya its a diode. can you tell me the markings on yours if you can. i think you would need it to regulate the voltage.

I agree with hydro....it's a small signal diode to shunt back EMF.

Look on Digikey for a 1n4001 in that package size, that'll work.
