Default Novarossi 57 Tuning help

hey guys well i got a novarossi v1 with the 3 needle carb on it and today i couldnt get it to tune. I got reccomended shims in it for nitro % im high altitude. Motor wouldnt transition to high for half the day bogging out at mid stick then i leaned the high so much to get it to spool up running a little hot and did a punch out all looked and sounded good when i let off the collective it died what gives? Shims? all fuel tubing new clunk line filter ect... new. Got a outrage hr56 which was working great on my other rossi same motor. But what gives? Its also winter season here cold around 40-50

We have several running here and when one all of the sudden appears to need to be retuned suddenly it is usually good to go with a new glow plug.
Would try plug before making any needle changes.
When i was running one in my 600 i tried the hr 56 pipe just to see if it would run any better and all it did was choke the motor severly.
If you want max power you need to run the nova pipe.

yea the hr pipe was running great on other motor but i do have the nova pipe just the stupid grommets are trashed atleast 2 of 4

If you use the hatori grommets and o-rings they will last longer you just have to be careful when putting the pipe over the o-rings as it is a very snug fit.

Apply Dow Corning DC4 paste to the o-rings to make them last longer

I read somewhere to take off the o ring on the carb as with two it cannot fully seat. If this was the case it would be super lean due to air getting in from there correct?

Tried both ways and could not tell any difference but like you i liked the o-ring at the top to aid in sealing.
I would just push the carb in as far as you can and tighten, i used a screwdriver between the shroud and carb to push in, just be gentle as to not cause damage to the carb or shroud.

Well last weekend it actually spooled up good. So it might be fixed. It was either Bad Plug, Bad gallon of fuel, Or crap in the needles in the carb.
