Bert is flying Outrage?
I questioned when he was sponsored by CC, but now Outrage?
Fantastic pilot but he really does sell himself out, doesn't he.

A little harsh don't you think? Are you a sellout everytime you change jobs? I would say most of the pro guys change manufactures from time to time. Bert is no different.

For sure, but Bert must see a lot of good in these companies, I couldn't put my name behind some of the rubbish he flies.

Edit: perhaps "rubbish" is a bit harsh, but Outrage aren't exactly known for their high quality and, well, CC?

To be fair to Bert this is his living not just a hobby for him. There are VERY different priorities when you have to pay your bills with the hobby and it isn't just for fun. And maybe just maybe Bert can be a positive influence on the company.

P.S. Don't be so negative you dingovillian

I edited my post to better reflect my views Dom
And I agree, with bills to pay it's a different story.

From what I have seen, Outrage has higher quality and a tougher heli than, say, Align... The crask repair is much lower on an Outrage than Align, probably due to the airframe being tougher and lower parts cost.

Perhaps a little off topic but I have never considered Outrage or Align to be a low quality product. I have owned a couple Outrage birds and they seemed like smart designs and nice quality parts to me. Same with Align, I have owned half a dozen Align birds and have never seen a quality issue. Why do people always ding Align like this? It it just to justify paying a higher price for a different brand? Regarding Bert, he is a Pro and as such he gets paid to support and market certain products. None of these Brands would be successful without some Pro level pilots to test and market their products. To me it is simply an indication that the RC helicopter market is becoming "Grown up".

That actually is great news. I am sure Bert will help Outrage to become even better.
Looking forward to see Bert fly the Outrage heli line. In addition on his webseide he mentioned also testing the Goblin and flying SAB blades.... That is all great news.

Interesting read Bert. I hope you can get OR back on track.

While my tag clearly shows I am now with Compass I had been a level 1 rep for OR almost from day one. I saw OR grow from a tiny company into what it is today. I think having alternatives to Align is a positive thing, not because I dislike Align but simply because competition breeds innovation, so I hope OR can find its footing again.

I always loved the way my machines flew and the kinds of pilots that OR seems to attract, if the new production change and Bert can see OR back to where it was when I started as a rep I will most definitely consider flying an OR again in the future. Best of luck Bert and OR.

Hey Bert

glad to see you in the Outrage team!

As always, important decisions source in Switzerland

I owned a lot of machines in the past 4 years. Align T-Rex 450 to 700, Mikado Logo 500-600, MSH Protos, Srimok etc. and Outrage build great helis! In fact, I currently own a Fusion and, my new star, a Velocity 90 with the YS120 engine. All other machines collect dust right now...

Anyways, have fun Bert and looking forward to see you in Switzerland again.
