can someone please try to make me understand this


The ratios possible are:
Pinion 15 = r 14.3
Pinion 16 = r 13.4
Pinion 17 = r 12.6
Pinion 18 = r 11.9
Pinion 19 = r 1.3
Pinion 20 = r 10.7
Pinion 21 = r 10.2
Pinion 22 = r 9.7
Pinion 24 = r 8.9
Pinion 26 = r 8.3
Pinion 28 = r 7.7

What about em? They are just geartrain ratios, take motor RPM divide by ratio gives mainshaft RPM.

This is a little table I made with Excel showing different headspeed you can get with different pinion and motor kV combos.

I'm going for a 520kV motor.
