Default TH and Timer

I have TH set to the hold/mix switch on the top/back/right. I'd like to make it so the timer starts and stops on the same switch. Is this possible?

Set the timer trigger to 'throttle out'. The timer will start and stop when the throttle channel position (not just stick position) goes beyond the value you set. eg 25%

That works perfect and makes too much sense. Half of getting to know this radio is just learning what everything means.

Wow. You guys have solved an issue that has kept me scratching my head for months. I did some further research and http://www.raptortechnique.com/spektrumdx8.html has a nice review of the DX8 and includes this "timer" issue. Of course, it would be easier if the DX8 firmware would allow you to just assign an on/off timer function to any switch you want, instead of having to go about it in a "backwards" sort of way. Still, now I am to have the timer turn on/off automatically with the TH switch regardless of Throttle stick position. I can't thank you guys enough.

I'd call it brilliant insteaf of backwards Having the timer turn on and off whenever the throttle channel crosses a certain value keeps me from having to worry about starting and stopping the timer in the middle of the pack... for those 2 or 3 times a season that I have to put down for whatever reason in the middle of a flight.

All I have to do is hit the 'clear' button between packs to reset the timer. Couldn't be any easier IMHO
