Default from spektrum to futaba

hi,
i'm moving from spektrum to futaba and i was wondering how to set the gyro gain on a futaba 7c tx.
the manual is quite clear except for those letters A and N that appears to the left of the value.
actually i don't have the radio yet, but was just studying the manual so when i receive it, it will be easier to set it up.
thanks for any help.

A = AVCS mode = heading hold

N = Normal mode = rate mode

thanks.
hope i've made the right decision.
i'm having a hard time trying to program futaba 7c.
it's sooooo different from spektrum.
could someone help me?
i have the heli version.
1) in which menu exactly can i assign each switch to the function i want?
2) is there a way to know precisely when the throttle stick is exactly in the middle or i can only guess it?

thanks.
