I received my 808 #16 V2 (Lens B) in the mail the other day. strapped it on my mQX to go have some fun before it got dark. the videos were all shot after 6:30 PM, so the lighting conditions weren't the greatest. it was fairly calm though which was good for flying!

I used iMovie to combine my 3 flights and trim them down just a tad (and add some music )... besides that I didn't edit the video.

anyways, the vid is long so feel free to skip around

comments welcome!

enjoy:

Default Joined the "Tree Club"

Managed to get my mQX stuck in a tree last week. The on-board 808 kept recording right thru the (rough) return to earth. [ame]http://youtu.be/PKBZCcsHUEQ[/ame]

Luckily a Twp. officer on patrol stopped to help when he saw me starring into the tree.
Our first attempts had him throwing his night-stick into the tree w/ me below trying to catch the quad & not get hit with the club .
He then got a broom out of the cruiser that I used to knock the craft out. The 808 popped free on impact but I'm happy to report neither quad, cam, or crew were hurt in the experience .

Attempting to fly in my small living room with the A/C on.....don't look at the bad landing at the end.

Not bad...now fly with your eyes closed and one hand behind your back, then I will be impressed!

Very cool. Looks like a fun place to fly. Now we need to see some keychain camera foot from that.

Now that you bring that up, I do have a 808 camera (which was used to record this video) but have yet been successful attaching it to the mqx.... I have used to small pieces of velcro but flight is just to unstable to feel comfortable taking it to height or over water!

That is what I use on my mQX. I put a piece on the bottom of the battery tray and one on the camera. Then I add a velcro strap around the tray and the camera (if you look you will see there is a good opening for it. Make sure the strap is tight or you will get vibes. The video comes out pretty good. It does take a bit more power to fly it. So it will be a little less responsive. But it still had enough juice to pull off a flip. You will want to shorten your timer a little to compensate for the extra weight.

Here's a couple of MQX onboard videos using a 808 #3 cam (low resolution).
