![]() I can't recall if it is a hardened shaft, think it is. If a hacksaw will not cut through it, you can use a grinder with a zip disk. As for the hole, a drill press will be a big bonus here. Make a small flat surface with the zip disk, grinder or file where the hole is to be drilled. Center punch the location of the hole in the flat spot and drill away, using a cutting lube would help a lot here as well.

![]() OK guys i cut 9mm off of a RAPTOR 30 V2 main shaft and drilled a new 3mm hole, and i got the servo 90 degree, Raptor elevator arm at basic center, i also got the swash drivers close to level.....(maybe 8.5mm cut off would have been better.) but its close.....so what’s the next step....
Should i change endpoints ATV on ailerons’ and elevators…..??????? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() That looks much better, what kind of pitch are you getting now? Are you getting at least +10/-10 degrees? If you are then I think you are ready to setup the 3g and gitter done.

![]() Also, I would imagine that your 3G system has some specific starting setup information. On a BeastX product you basically set up the linkage rods and 0 pitch and the rest is done in the programming of the BeastX. Even the Radio you set up a new heli model and make sure everything is zeroed out, no sub trims, 0 on every thing.

![]() Yeah, I hate waiting also, If you have the manual you can read it over about 100 times to make sure you get the idea ... lol You never said what kind of pitch you are getting.

![]() Just looked at this pic. The washout/radius arms are at a pretty steep angle at mid-stick. Before you fly it, make sure that the links don't pop off at full aileron or elevator deflection. Input some collective at the same time (to simulate doing a full rate stationary flip or roll) and make sure the links don't pop off.

![]() Roy, one other thing I thought of, make sure your blades are nice and tight so you don't get a boom strike.

![]() I'm not familiar with the 3g so I can't help any. There should be a way to soften up the dr/expo though. Looks good to me, FBL is gonna be more responsive than FB. On the Ar7200bx it has presets you can select to set the stability.

![]() It could be that you don't have enough servo resolution resulting in low gains!
I have the balls on the elevator and aileron servo's at 8mm from center and with the G-T5 I have my gain at 100, the TotalG my gain was exactly where it was supposed to be as was the VBar! Your ball links look to be 13.5mm from center, moving them in even one hole should increase your gain by 10% and increase stability and feel more locked in in flight! My first FBL rappie used a 3DX head which was designed to fit the TRex600 like the one your using and the swash follower arms where a real PITA, the first ones I made up where modified JR ones but they broke every time I crashed and are hard to get hold of, I also tried TRex 500 ones and they where the right length but needed some light modding and shiming. Whatever you do don't go giving big cyclic inputs as it is now because it will end in tears and that canopy looks too sweet to waste!
