![]() I can confirm that the RJX head works on the Raptor 30 V2. I have it fitted and setup using a v-bar. I have some minor problem to fix with the starter shaft but I have had the model in the hover. HobbyKing have stock at this time.
As for a bright canopy I went to Fusuno. Their prices are very reasonable and you can specify more or less whatever you want. This was the picture they sent me before the clear coat went on. Last edited by Andy from Sandy; 10-31-2012 at 03:36 PM.. |

![]() Thank you. It started from the design on the T-Rex 700. I have a Logo 500, T-rex 450 and a T-rex 600 canopy in the same scheme. There is also a T-rex 500EFL with the same paint job now owned by someone else. It works for me so I had them all done the same.

![]() Yep, it's a custom order but really all their orders a pretty much custom. I told them basically what I wanted and they took it for there.
I'm really happy with the results

![]() Bringing life back to the thread. I have read through most of it and I think I may convert a raptor to fbl. I see the tracx, thunder tiger, rjx, flybarless heads being used the most it seems. Out of all the ones talked about which is going to be the easiest to install. The rjx definately looks good at that price but is it an easy install. Looks like the tracx has a good record.

![]() There are big differences between the two. The RJX head is a swash driver style FBL head and the TracX is a DFC style.

![]() That is a good question and one that I can not answer because I have never used anything but DFC.

![]() I'm pretty sure that all 30, 50 and 60 class helis are 10mm. I do know that the Raptor 30, Raptor 50, and the x50 is 10mm.

![]() That's what I was thinking. I got a friend with a 30, been talking about converting to fbl. Never thought about using the RJX 600 head..

![]() It is much qicker in flip and roll rate. The reduction in weight is evident. It accelerates much quicker than the old FB heads. Takes way more collective mismanagement to load the head.
The FBL likes the higer headspeed. It really likes 1950 which is on the top end of the powerband for the OS 37. I've done tail slides, funnels, snakes, piro flips, hurricanes, tic toc's and it handles them much better than a FB machine. I don't know how much difference the Hatori 3D/OS37 combo makes. I haven't had the chance to fly one with a stock exhaust pipe. I get b/t 12 to 15 minutes flight time at 1950. This is going to be a fun litle toy! Regards
