![]() my 50 came with the thunder tiger mount exactly like the one you have pictured, it's always had it. my 30 i have one that mounts with clamps to the boom, i like the boom mounted one better because you don't have to readjust the tail when you tighten the belt.

![]() Hmmm, is there a kit to modify the linkage or did you just cut it and thread it for your 30. I think I've got a threader that I could use to thread for the ball link.
I took the blades off and fire up the motor to see if the governor was working like it suppose to and it works, I believe vibration is throwing it off though cause the motor didn't seem like it was holding a steady RPM.. I guess I need to put some gyro foam under it

![]() my 30 uses a carbon fiber push rod, you cut it to length then JB Weld the ends on (this is what i used to use on every heli), the 50 came with the proper length threaded on both ends.
personally i've never had a governor that was bothered by vibration, sounds like the sensor needs adjusting.

![]() which side of the frame is your 50's servo plate mounted, the muffler side with the servo pointing in towards the boom?

![]() Thats what I thought. Did you put a O ring on the servo shaft to keep fuel out? Guess I need a servo extension too.

![]() that's a negative on the O-ring, myself i've never found a need, the servo requires lube in the gear train and the motor area is already sealed

![]() I got a little more done today. I moved the tail servo to the rear and I set up a push/pull servo for the pitch. Here are a couple of pictures on my progress.

![]() I got my receiver today but it's to late to do anything, I had to work late. I'll just read some more in the manual to understand what I need to do. I also picked up 12" servo extension for the rear mounted servo for the tail rotor.

![]() Just noticed the double servo to your pitch arm Why are you doing that?
what is the benefit ? |

![]() It's not a servo. It's the top of a servo with the main gear and it is used as a push/pull lever for the pitch. Works great. I am going to purchase one for the elevator from Ron Lunds.

![]() I took the picture before I finished. It is secure and wont come out without a screwdriver or a crash.

![]() Ok I see but what is the benefit of doing that
Guess I don't understand why you are setting up the servos this way ? |

![]() It will give me more resolution and torque. Think about it logically. If you lift 50 lbs with one arm you will strain, if you pick it up with two arms it is much easier and less taxing. I applied the same principle to the servos. Which means longer lasting and less strain. I'm sure there are others who can give a scientific answer.

![]() KC, (I took the day off so I could do this ..) did you leave your servo frequencies to the defaults or did you turn them up? I have everything mounted and setup and so far by picking up the helicopter and turning it around the swash appears to be doing what it is suppose to. It is much 100 times better response than the Fly Mentor I had. I still have to go through the Parameters menu and double check the Setup.. So far It is a A+ ace coonboon... Also, I set the pitch to -11 to +11 I guess that is ok ....
Progress:

![]() i set them according to my servos, if you know what yours are then set them accordingly, it not then go with the 50hz.

![]() Yeah, I did a search and I found that most Digital servos run at about 280hz so I set the cyclic's to that and my tail servo is a Align DS620 So I set it up to 333hz. Getting ready to do my first test flight to set the parameters up.
You were right it was a piece of cake to setup.. So now we see what it will do.. ![]()
